Petra Stipetić

I am an animation filmmaker and director based in Germany. My artistic work often combines emotional depth with visual simplicity, allowing space for both precision and play.

My short films have been shown internationally and have received recognition and awards. I have worked with clients such as WDR3, FAB and ARTE, and regularly curate short film programmes and serve on selection committees for festivals including FILMFEST DRESDEN, Queer Filmfest Kassel and FAB Berlin.

Alongside my freelance work, I teach animation and storytelling as a lecturer @University of Applied Sciences Bielefeld and from 2023 as an artistic associate for animation @Kunsthochschule Kassel. There, I mentor students and teach seminars on animation, storytelling, and funding structures. I also give workshops and masterclasses on animation and creative practice — most recently as a guest lecturer @LAB Instutute of design in Lahti, Finland.
