Thanks to the working scholarship of the Hessische Kulturstiftung I was able to dedicate myself to 3D animation for the first time last year and produce this short film. My project built on the idea of digital matryoshka figures, but reinterprets their symbols into today. The first step was to consider the innermost core of fear looks like, and what protective mechanisms we have acquired. Each of the wooden dolls corresponds to a phase and reflects it in its facial expression.
