Strangers with hatS



"Strangers with Hats" is a 7 minute atmospheric animation film with experimental and documentary character. It is a collaboration between the wonderful animator Karolin Twiddy and me.
Our starting point is our interest in the wide world of mushrooms, which has grown in recent years. We are fascinated by this omnipresent, yet inconspicuous life form and want to offer it a stage. The coexistence of the funga is so functional in itself that it is reminiscent of the human social structure. We would like to elaborate these parallels and translate them into surreal scenes by drawing from the zeitgeist and using the expressive world of mushrooms.







Currently Karolin Twiddy and I are still in the preparation and finalization of the story. While i am refining the script at Short Form Station with the support of wonderful mentors at @berlinaletalents, Karo is weaving our vision into stunning visuals. In 2024 we will start the production of this short film. Follow me to not miss anything and to stay up to date.
